April 26 old folks home
Saturday the 26 of April 2025. It was a bright hot and sunny day and almost 17 and it was a great one. we showed up at Krista‘s around 1 to get ready for the dance out. At 2:30 We had Anthony with us and Olivia learned how to do dance hair this time super cool super fun. She didn’t really squirm a lot and needed to put lots and lots of extra gel, cause she was not being very generous with the gel and hairspray, not knowing Then we finished it all up. She went and got dressed, and we went to the Oceanside village and had our dance out and she tried doing the sword when she got into the third part of the sword. She got really confused, but she didn’t just get up and leave the dance floor. She stayed there and danced and tried her Best Super proud of her and her nephew was gawking all the old ladies, and that was super cute all at all it was a great day had lots of fun and as soon as we were done, the kids went back and played on the trampoline in the water and then had a bath to warm up All at all. It was a great dance dance, this time Pat, Boz the Highland fling and the sword dance and she did them to the best of her ability and she did great for a dance out for the old folks and made them all hurrah hooray and enjoy their day and made them feel joyful, which is great to do for the old folks in this community

Saturday, April 26, 2025, was one of those days that just sticks with you — bright, hot, and bursting with good energy. The sun was shining, the sky was clear, and the excitement of the day was building. It was nearly 17 degrees out, perfect weather for what was shaping up to be a memorable afternoon.
We arrived at Krista’s house around 1 PM to get ready for the much-anticipated dance out at Oceanside Village. Spirits were high, and the house buzzed with the kind of happy chaos that only comes when people are prepping for something special. Anthony was with us, and Olivia was ready to step into a new role — learning how to do dance hair. It was her first real try, and she handled it like a pro. Elizabeth didn’t squirm too much, and despite needing a few reminders to be a bit more generous with the gel and hairspray, Olivia stuck with it. We had to use a lot of extra product in the end, but she nailed it — definitely a super fun and super cool moment for her.
Once the hair was done and the final touches were in place, Elizabeth, got dressed in her dance outfit, and we made our way to Oceanside Village. The energy shifted the moment we arrived — there was a real sense of community, excitement, and warmth in the air. Elizabeth performed beautifully, dancing the Highland Fling and the Sword Dance with all the heart and determination she could give.
When it came time for the sword, she hit a little bump in the third part of the routine. She got confused — it happens to the best of dancers — but what mattered most was how she handled it. She didn’t stop, she didn’t walk away. She stayed, held her ground, and danced through it with grit and grace. Watching her keep going, despite the hiccup, was something to be truly proud of.
And then there was her nephew, who added a whole other layer of charm to the day. He was absolutely enthralled — gawking at all the sweet old ladies with wide eyes and innocent curiosity. It was beyond cute, and brought a smile to everyone around him.
When the dancing was done, the fun didn’t stop. The kids went back and played on the trampoline, splashing in the water until their fingers turned to prunes. Then it was time for warm baths, cozy towels, and some well-earned relaxation.
All in all, it was a fantastic day — one of those rare, perfect Saturdays that leave you full of joy and contentment. Elizabeth gave it her all, dancing her heart out for the seniors in our community, bringing smiles to their faces and warmth to their hearts. Making the elders cheer, clap, and feel truly seen and celebrated — that’s what it’s all about. It wasn’t just a dance performance; it was a gift to the community, and Elizabeth delivered it beautifully.
